Opening the doors to She.Her is evocative of unlocking the gates to sensory heaven, where – surrounded by warm, Mediterranean hues of purple and orange – visitors can indulge in the carefully curated selection of lingerie, toys, and silk dresses hand-made by women- and family-owned businesses.
What sparked the concept of She.Her were personal experiences and outdated notions Brett witnessed firsthand, especially during COVID-19. Amidst the pandemic, working as a retail executive, She.Her’s founder saw women struggling to strike a harmonious balance between motherhood, careers, relationships, and self-love, often choosing to neglect the last aspect. These experiences instilled in her a profound desire to shift the landscape and empower women to care for their emotional, physical, and sexual well-being.
Brett’s mission was cemented when her husband came upon a New York Times article – titled ‘Half the World Has a Clitoris. Why Don’t Doctors Study It?’ – which he forwarded to his wife. Struck by the immense orgasm gap permeating the world—men’s gratification being encouraged in Viagra ads while women’s pleasure is veiled in taboo—Brett dedicated her career to shifting that narrative and providing women with a space where they can discuss and explore their bodies’ cravings safely without shame, judgment, or constraint.
With a clear purpose in mind – empowering women to seek pleasure unapologetically – Brett traveled to an inspiring female retreat where – stimulated by spiritual discoveries and nature – she dreamed She.Her—a name written in bold purple ink and exuding the essence of femininity. In the Fall of 2023, she opened the boutique, igniting an era of boundless satisfaction. She adds, “I know one store won’t solve everything, but it’s a conscious effort to foster a world devoid of sexual stigma and stereotypes.”
